Longtermgevity

A made up word overheard on the Amtrack train traveling from Sacramento to San Francisco. It combines two terms that essentially mean the same thing; "Long Term" and "Longevity".

Guy on other end of cell phone: John, what do you think about the new marketing plan?
Guy on Amtrack with phone on speaker: Well, Ray. I really like it. I think it gives us real longtermgevity!

Guy on other end of cell phone: I'm sorry...WHAT??
Guy on Amtrack with phone on speaker: I said I like it, Ray. I think it gives us real longtermgevity!

Guy on other end of cell phone: Ummm..I'm not sure what you mean.

Guy on Amtrack with phone on speaker: Really? That's funny. I thought you were a wordsmith.

A precision dance company founded in St. Louis in 1925. Since 1932 they've performed at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York.

Believe it or not, my mother~in~law was 1 of The Rockettes!

A term used for something that is so dark, dangerous, and complex, that it cannot be explained.

"You mean because of all the deep dark shinkens you're hiding and growing in there."

"Wtf kinda shinken are you trying to teach me now?"

The cough/cold/flu everyone gets after going to Hajj, because you're stuffed up close with people from every corner of the world, and one of them is gonna have whatever flu virus it is that you aren't immune to

Whiz

(adjective) word Cool, highly impressive, intricate, unusual or (for a person) someone savvy & canny.

Outdated slang (by the 1990s) for a person or gadget. "Whiz" as abbreviation for "wizard", i.e. indicating the Wizard of Oz with his lightshows and gadgets.

He's the whiz kid! (the wonder kid)
That new multi-function toy is really whiz!

Made popular again as SF slang in Cyperpunk roleplaying games.

Someone who forces you to wear sunscreen at all times.
