Promofear

Fear of getting something for free offered from product or service promotions.

Promofear is when companies offer free products or services with no strings attached, just to promote their brands or their products and services, the skeptics start touting doubt about the products or services offered aren't real without even going to their office/store/trade show booths/marketing company stores. Some go as extreme as even emailing the company through their websites to support staff telling that an advertising service was giving away their products for free and it's not real.

C prompt

Semi-erroneous name for a command prompt in Windows.

Near as I can tell, it derives from DOS, where one would generally boot from their primary hard disk (invariably called the C Drive and be presented with a prompt that looked like "C:\>", indicating the drive they were on and their location in the directory tree.

Considered fairly obsolete, even amongst old DOS hats.

OK, now type 'dir' on the C prompt....

Promise

A "Promise" is an insult or a nickname for someone or something who has done something wrong / is the worst, an insult for everything. Not too rude, not too kind.

You can use the word "Promise" for anything, anyone, no matter what they have done, it is the best insult.

Dave: Hey man, did you like that twilight movie
Greg: Fuck you, Promise.

Dave: Sorry for stealing your girlfriend.
Greg: Fucking Promise.

Dave: Hey man, you no that Jim kid?
Greg: Yeah bro, he's a fucking promise hey.

Promethazine Codeine Syrup mixed with Sprite and jolly ranchers. serve with ice in a white styrofoam cup. Sit back and chill out. Commonly refered to as lean, purple sprite, sizzurp, etc. We call it promo on the outer banks.

Promise Rong

Many parents make a pledge wit h thier children (most commonly, daughters) to wait until marriage to have sex. The parents give the child a ring, called a promise ring, and it symbolizes their promise to wait.
A Promise Rong is the same exact thing. Parents talk to their child and give them the ring. The only thing is, basically all of the child's peer KNOW that they've had already.
Usually found on networking site profiles, usually myspace.
They flaunt the ring on their pictures, and they blab about how their waiting, but everyone knows its BULLSH*T.
