A tumblelog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author's creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.

They dress in black, wear hipster hats, circular sun glasses, crosses, inverted crosses that they claim to be satanic crosses, however these "satanic crosses" are actually St Peters cross and are really still christian, triangles, band tops that they probably don't actually listen to and most of the time aren't even goth.
The black clothing is about as goth as it gets really. they aren't really interested in anything really dark nor do they actually listen to any goth music!! not even industrial. Music doesn't seem to be a major factor amongst tumblr goths and they seem to be more concerned with who re-blogs their OOTD. it seems everything they know comes from tumbr and topshop and since tumbr isn't a great site for information, we now have a gothesque subculture that has spread with out any content.
nor does there seem to be any desire to become educated in goth culture or any other subculture that inspired their style

Get the Tumblr Tan mug.Tattoos originated from Tumblr that are now copied by hipsters, making them completely unoriginal.
Usually those people with no imagination or personality whatsoever will get these inked onto their bodies, preaching their 'personal meaning' behind it, when really 200 other people have the exact same design, and sometimes, placement.
Like pirating music, someone would've been commissioned to design that piece originally, with their customer thinking they would be the only one to have it, then the artist will throw away the original print. These hipsters are offensively then copying it, without permission, insulting the artist and then that customer now has another little person running around the Earth with the tattoo that actually meant something to them only.
