Threadsurrection

In discussion forums when old threads are reasponded to from several years go and everyone else wonders how and why the thread was brought back to life. Usually, any questions in the original thread have been answered and are no longer pertinent. Rarely are the original posters still active.

When a group of friends, usually on a discord server/groupchat or on tumblr will wear matching profile pictures regarding a famous tv show, anime, or other type of media. Other people will then possibly see those with matching icons and join them, making it a trend.
Guy one: “Did you see their naruto profile pictures?”
Guy two: “Yeah, I think they’re doing a pfp trend. Want to join them?”
