A person who doesn't believe in God, which is fine by all counts. Far be it from anyone to criticize another's religious beliefs.
However, there exists a class of atheists who can't just sit still with their own beliefs and feel they have to attack others. It is pointless, however, to convince those of religion to put aside the beliefs, as it is for Atheists to take up religious beliefs.
Essentially, militant Atheists should shut up and let those of religion enjoy themselves, inasmuch that those of religion should stop proselytizing and let people form their own beliefs. What's the point in arguing about something that is impossible to prove?

An atheist is, at the simplest, not a theist. A theist is someone that has a belief in a god or deities, an atheist is someone without those beliefs. To say atheism is a belief system is comparable to saying bald is a hair color or abstinence is a sexual position. There is really nothing more to the word than this. An atheist is without a belief in a god or deities.
No one ever provided convincing evidence to him that any gods exist, so to this day he remains an atheist.

Atheist-One who does not believe that God or gods exist. That's it. That's all there is to it. NEVER i mean fucking NEVER judge a whole group of people because of what some of them believe. Yes, some blindly condemn religion. Yes, some are just angry, angst-ridden teens. Yes, some say they don't believe but inside actually do. And yes, some are confused and don't know what to believe, or are just scared to. But some athiests actually CARE about the truth and have done research and personal reflection to come to a personal conclusion based on tons and tons of thought. Also, NEVER assume that you're right! No matter what you believe. Even if someone honestly believe something completely ridiculous to YOU, keep that to YOURSELF. Judging people BEFORE you really know them is parallel to racism, and people can NEVER be judged as a group. Some athiests are conceeded assholes who are so smug cause they believe they're right. But some athiests have considered the possiblities of higher powers and have actually TRIED to believe in greater enlightenment through God. I have my beliefs and that has NOTHING to do with my personality. I can have fun. I can use common sense and rationality. I think about consequences. I think about other people's feelings. I know that my reasons for this disbelief may offend you, so i KNOW that i have to keep them to myself unless asked to say why. People, you have YOUR beliefs of what you think is right. That doesn't mean you have to bring it upon other people, even if you THINK you're doing the right thing. Everyone has their reasons for thinking something, but someone's belief in their own personal TRUTH cant tell you who they are. Please, people respect each other. That's all the world needs. Respect and common sense.

A person who denies the reality of God (particularly Jesus Christ, despite historical proof of His otherworldly being), and lives life 'free' trusting in science and 'logic'. This despite the fact that may be able to point out when and how the universe was created, but are unable to state WHY. Stephen Hawking himself made this point. Despite so much being unknown about what reality actually is, how it came into being, how colours, morality, love, the fabric of space and time 'happened', they consider themselves smarter than any faith bearing person, and pretty much anyone else they happen across. God loves atheists. Despite what they make think. Ironically, they are usually more militant about their lack of belief than faith bearing people are about their faith.

An under-evolved individual who has not yet developed the ability to understand concepts beyond the three dimensions that his five senses are limited to.
It can also be that he (she) makes a conscious decision to deny the existence of a god in an attempt to quench the feelings of guilt over his (her) behavior. Guilt that would not be present if there were in fact no god.
