A malapropism of the phrase "truth be told", which is used in situations where the "truth" in question is of the nature of a financial gain.

Trath is the word used when you combine trash with wrath and get a pile of angry shit! The only thing that comes from trath is a world of chaos which is useless and does not serve anyone, any good. If you are going to use trath in the real world, you would be subject to punishment by the God of creation and your soul would be thrown into the spiritual flame of purification. Never trath your home, for you will become sick, very fast, and try to escape the immense heat steaming from this immense pile of vomit. The shit that you create leaves a negative impact on the universe, so never eat of this shit, or you will die, very fast.

Speak Truth to Power

In Pop Culture: A phrase adopted by dissidents who've chosen a non-violent approach by using truth to oppose perceived acts of oppression by the government.

Note: The phrase is sometimes misappropriated by some groups with irrational fears.

Historically: The best argument so far is that the phrase spoken using these exact words is attributed to pamphlet called "Speak Truth to Power: a Quaker Search for an Alternative to Violence", published in 1955. Older phrases similar in nature with practicality the same meaning dated back much earlier.

I will always speak truth to power when the government tries to oppress my Constitutional freedom to <fill in the blank>.

CAPS FOR TRUTH

Calling out someone who uses all caps to further emphasize his/her point, implying that thier point is more valid or truthful based on their use of CAP LOCKS.

Calling this person out usually disqualifies them from any further rational conversation and flaming will commence.

Usually used in a heated online discussion (message boards/forums, etc) to indicate frustration with an opposing viewpoint.

Jack: EVERYONE KNOW PULP FICTION IS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER!

Jill: Great point - caps for truth eh?
