Get the Stockholm syndrome role playmug. Stockholm syndrome refers to a psychological phenomenon where hostages develop positive feelings, such as sympathy and affection, toward their captors. This occurs as a coping mechanism, a form of self-preservation where the captive may come to identify with and even defend their captor. The term originated from a 1973 bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden.
After being held captive for weeks, the hostages developed Stockholm syndrome, even defending their captors during the trial.

“Locking me up in my home, not allowing me to attend my mothers funeral, not allowing me to attend my place of work or allow my children to attend school, giving me a curfew, restricting my travels, making me cover my airways, and forcing me to partake in a medical experiment, because of a virus that has a 99.7% recovery rate, is for the greater good because I’m a Stockholm Syndie”
