When you watch or see something so embarrassing that you feel embarrassed; feels like you had something to do with it.

I had real contact shame after watching a Musical.ly video.

Contact shame is really bad especially if you're watching with friends or family

shame spiral

A shame spiral characterizes the loss of self-control over something that makes one feel worthless and pathetic. Due to these feelings of low self-worth and guilt, the action that triggered the shame spiral is repeated and the degradation of one's self continues. It is a cycle that repeats itself, bringing one down further as it repeats. Example triggers for shame spirals could be excesses of junk food, alcohol, meaningless sex, buying unnecessary gifts for oneself and the like.

Out-of-shape Bob: "I had McDonalds for lunch today and now I am ordering myself a pizza. I am on a serious shame spiral. I hate myself. Ugh."

Shopalholic Sue: "My rent check yesterday bounced but today there was this cute pair of shoes on sale and I had to buy them. How do I get out of this shame spiral?"

Mask Shamed

When others treat you with disdain or contempt for (1) not wearing a mask in public or (2) wearing a medical grade mask that health care providers need.

I was mask shamed while lining up for groceries without a facial covering. The piercing stares and angry mumbles from those wearing masks left me feeling uncomfortable.

for shame

used to express great discontent, dissatisfaction, disappointment, often in a funny way; usually used after someone (including oneself) has done something wrong, committed a party foul, or said something not cool (either stupid or politically incorrect)

the "a" in shame is usually stretched out, making it sound like "for shaaame"

Person A: Sign me in!
Person B: Okay, hold up.
*Person A looks at the sign in sheet*
Person A: Hey, you spelled my name wrong! For shame!!

theme park walk of shame

This is when you get in line for a ride at a theme park, yet towards the end of the queue your nerves take over, and you decide against it. Then you have to walk back through the crowd while they subtly intimidate and laugh at you, hence walk of shame.

I was gonna go on Colossus with a friend, but once we got to the end of the queue I pussied out and had to do the theme park walk of shame.
