The Rev (short for The Reverend Tholomew Plague) was born as James "Jimmy" Sullivan on February 10, 1981. The Rev and A7x lead singer M. Shadows attended a Catholic school. He was kicked out in 3rd grade. He also has a side project with A7x guitarist, Synyster Gates, called Pinkly Smooth in which he does lead vocals.

The Rev is an awesomely amazing drummer.

Vaughan Rev

When feeling unmotivated one may ask a fellow friend for a Vaughan Rev. A Vaughan rev is achieved by fisting your hand and moving it up and down as if you are revving a motorbike all whilst shouting 'VAUGHAN!!!'. Other names can work too but Vaughan seems to be the most motivational sounding.

Person one: 'I really can't be bothered to go into work today.'

Person two: 'Do you need a Vaughan rev?'

Person one: 'Ohh yes please!'

Person Two: 'Vaughaaaaaaaan!!!!!, how do you feel now?'

Person one: 'I feel much more motivated and ready for work. Thanks!'

The Rev

The Rev drummer and back-up vocalist for metal band Avenged Sevenfold. born February 10, 1981, died December 28, 2009. His death is believed to be form natural causes.
The Rev real name was James Owen Sullivan shortened to jimmy sullivan. he was married Leana MacFadden aka Leana Silver.

The Rev was an amazing guy and brilliant drummer he will be missed.

The Rev

James 'The Rev' Sullivan was the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold until his tragic death on December 28, 2009. The Rev wrote the lyrics to most of their songs and was one of the most kick-ass drummers to ever walk the face of the earth. He was a fan of Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, who is now helping A7X to get back on their feet. 3 days before his death, he came to the band after finishing the lyrics to 'Fiction' and said, "That's it. That's the final song on the album." Their new album 'Nightmare' has many references to Jimmy, like the lines;
'Never in question, lethal injection'
'Details blurry, lost him too early'
'I see, you're a king who's been dethroned'
'Cast out, in a world you've never known'
from 'Welcome To The Family'.

R.I.P. The Rev, foREVer in our hearts, never forgotten. Best Rev quote:
