Parrot in Internet social media terms is someone who recites information (whether aware if its correct or not) for the sake of repeating it to increase their own percieved "social standing" in an social community. Can be applicable to both a single online community (a forum) or a group of sites of communities, for example a "blogosphere."

Parrots are: bloggers who blog about social media: what it is, what it is becoming, because they read it on someone else's forum. People in automotive or other technical forums who repeat something because it "sounded right."

pooter parrot

The act of pooting on anothers shoulder leaving an odor that perches on their shoulder as if it were a parrot. Usually done to an unsuspecting co-worker while he is sitting in his desk chair.

::Marco creeps up to James' shoulder while he is sitting in his chair::
Marco: POOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!
James: aww dude!!! that pooter parrot is gonna be NOO GOOD!
Marco: haha yeah, enjoy it you piratey bitch!

myspace parrot

An unoriginal myspacer that repeats/copies names, quotes, etc. from another's page. This is usually an attempt done to try to annoy the other person, but rarely works.

Is a source of amusement to the party that is being copied, due to the fact that they know the Myspace Parrot is hanging on their every word. The Myspace Parrot views their page compulsively and obsesses about them and what they are saying, desperately trying to get involved in the other person's world.

The Myspace Parrot usually develops due to jealousy or previous rejection from the other person. This is typical of Ex girlfriends or boyfriends, baby's mamas, or middleschool/highschool students with a lack of substance in their own reality. This is the last ditch effort, because the person they are "parroting" have lost all interest in them.

Parrot Ass

Blunt force trauma to the anus caused by a massive dump. This Cleveland steamer causes extreme discoloration and often bright colors around the brown eyed monster similar to a parrot. These massive drain stainer's are often accompanied by loud straining or squawking noises much like a parrot.

Parrot Ass can also be caused by extreme sexual spanking also producing bright colors directed mainly on the ass cheeks. Loud parrot like squawks also accompany this ass pounding.

Lazy Parrot

Occurence in which a man places his genitals on someone's shoulder unknowingly. Often occurs from behind, while the individual is sitting on a couch or chair. May also occur between a deaf couple to initiate a sexual encounter.

Steve surprised Dan with a lazy parrot while he was sleeping on the couch.

My older brother held down my buddy and gave him a lazy parrot. His nut sack rolled off his shoulder and hit him in the mouth.

Parrot Man

A parrot man is someone who is only known for one thing. It refers to someone with a gimmick, who loses all attention when he loses his gimmick.
It is based on Hale and Pace's story of a man who regularly took his parrot to a bar and was wildly popular. One day he showed up without the parrot, to find no one cared about him.
One should be careful not to become a Parrot Man.

Eggers: Hey, why don't you whip out your harp and play us all a tune, buddy.
Feral Meryl: I'm not going to play it every time we're in da club, I don't want to become a Parrot Man.
