freeze dried hippie

Normally, a person who seems to be stuck in the past. This person wants to stay in the "good ol' days." This person may also think of himself as appealing to the younger audience. You may spot one once in a while. They usually have a braided pony tail in his gray hair and may wear clothing styles of today. If not, he wears anything that he may consider "hip" or "cool" which may not be true.

My father is a freeze dried hippie! This is so embarrassing! I wish he would just get through the fact that times have changed!

Czech and Slovak word used for describing 'freecoolins' - usually younger people that believe in freedom but ultimately submit to the very latest fashions and must posses all the latest clothes, gadgets, cars, etc...

Some freecoolins may actually believe that the word itself is a compliment - that it's "cool" to be a freecoolin...

This urban slang comes from a combination of the words: free-cool-in.

Freezer Flavor

When something has been in the freezer so long, that when you cook and eat it, it tastes like everything else that it shared the freezer with over the previous months/years. This is rarely a good thing. The taste of said food is known as freezer flavor.

It is a direct result of freezerburn in many cases, and in others, such as with ice cubes, can be a result of age.

While cleaning out the freezer, I found an unpackaged corn dog in the very back, covered in frost and hidden behind a Swanson dinner. Smiling at my good fortune, I microwaved it and took a bite. Unfortunately, the corn dog had been impregnated with Freezer Flavor, and tasted like onions, fish, rust, and grape popsicles.
