Chúng ta

It literally means “we/us”, but it can also be said to express love and affection for the people around at that particular moment. When having a great time it is appropriate to say, “chúng ta!”. Or, when going through some tough times one will say, “chúng ta!”. It can also be used when someone does a great favor/deed for another and when reiterating friendships with one another.

When taking Hennessy shots, we will say, “một (1), hai (2), ba (3), chúng ta!”
