Sefton's Law 

Sefton’s Law states that the likelihood of mainstream adoption of new innovations is inversely proportionate to the extent to which using said innovation makes the user look like a dick.

Google Glass is Sefton's Law in action. That wearers are already being called "glassholes" shows you that it'll never go mainstream.

The Boom Law 

A rule of thumb when planning a project:

"If you can you explosives, then why wouldn't you use explosives?"
"We could use explosives to move these rocks, but is that excessive?"
"According to The Boom Law... nope!"

Karen-in-law 

A Karen-in-law is the worst possible version of a mother-in-law to whom you are related.
"My Karen-in-law created a major fucking scene earlier because someone asked her to wear a mask."

hotel room sex law

This law states that when a couple stays in a hotel room they must have sex. No exceptions. Sex is optional outside of the confines of hotel rooms only.
I wasn’t in the mood to have sex, but we were out of town, so the hotel room sex law was in effect.

Foster's Law 

The rule that "if I’ve Heard of Yer Da I Don’t Need To Hear From You", coined by Dawn Foster. Describes mediocre people who have jobs in the media not because of any talent of their own but because they have rich and famous parents, private schooling and family connections.
Giles Coren a prime example of how Foster's Law holds for almost every man bar Jesus.

Hakimi's law 

It is a traditional practice where a married man transfers all belongings under his name to a close relative of his shortly into his marriage to protect himself from possible greedy and selfless abuse of a divorce by his wife resulting in him losing 50% of all belongings or a possibly higher proportion.
I might follow hakimi's law to protect myself soon, I'm worried my partner will divorce me for my money and belongings.
