A shortening of 'Virtual Sleepover'. Used in reference to a 'Sleep Call'; when two people, usually in a romantic relationship, fall asleep together while connected virtually to a call (Discord, Skype, FaceTime, etc.). The term 'Veslo' (Pronounced as "Vee-sloah") is used to specify a more platonic and inclusive version of a sleep call. Asking someone to have a veslo with you also implies the lack of commitment surrounding staying connected all night, falling asleep together at around the same time, and intimate conversations that would otherwise all occur and be expected within a romantic relationship. The phrasing of 'Virtual Sleepover' looks to highlights the boundaries that tend to be put in place with close friends, thus having a more friendly sleepover-like atmosphere in call. Veslos can also be used in the context of safety and security. One might choose to have a veslo with a supportive friend in order to soothe the dread and anxiety stemming from mental health conditions that can affect them while laying down or sleeping (Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, PTSD, Dissociation, etc.).
