The 5-College Consortium in western Massachusetts can be represented by the members of the scooby doo gang. UMass is Scooby. Hampshire is Shaggy. Amherst is Fred, Smith is Velma. Mount Holyoke is Daphne.

We find evidence for the Scooby Doo Theory in Smith College, also known as Velma, the nerdy one.

When you are almost finished with a bowl of fine weed, if you ever get a nugget of ash, it's referred to as a scoob. Also known as a scooby or a scooby-snack.
