Cursed Man Summer

The type of summer that those laden with powerful curses from birth have. A cursed man summer typically involves:

-Living in an old mansion/manor in the middle of nowhere, or in a creepy house at the fringes of the neighborhood at the city outskirts, talking to nobody either way
-Not keeping up with any male fashion trends whatsoever
-Staring at the wallpaper, the ceiling, the old-timey furniture, etc… for hours at a time and slowly going insane

-Playing chess against a board commanded by otherworldly spirits
-Hearing bizarre noises every night that you dare not investigate

-Battling demons in your mind 24 hours a day

Reid: I haven’t enjoyed the summer season in three years. Looks like I’m having another cursed man summer.

The Boys of Summer

A song originally written by Don Henley (former lead singer of The Eagles) in 1984, lead track and first single of the album Building the Perfect Beast. Remade by The Ataris in 2003 from their album So Long, Astoria. The song is about a summer love and remembering it. May also be about growing up; from youth to adulthood.

The Ataris made a few very slight modifications to the song. Their version has a faster beat and they changed the lyric "Out on the road today I saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac" to "...Black Flag sticker..." which refers to a another band.

summersville is a town in southern west virginia. known for it's big ass lake. perfect for drunken boating. teen pregnancy is a common occurence. most girls have experienced child birth before driving a car. boring place where nothing good ever happens.

English summer

Supposed to be ironic. English summers typically consist of rain and little sunshine, until 'global warming' changed it. Tradtionally when someone describes weather as 'an English summer' they mean rain when there should be sunshine.
