Heaven

A nickname for Whiting, Indiana predominently used by the rest of Lake County and Chicago. The nickname orginated in the 1960s when the counterculture youth of the area were expressing their feelings of displeasure to the amount of religous zealotry in the town. This was evident to the counterculure by the number of churches that dotted the skyline.

'Heaven Stairway' Incident

An offshoot of a trollface "Cover yourself in oil" meme. Originally it explained that skin is already oily, then included an image of the New York City skyline, photoshopped to include people floating into the sky. Because of its cryptic nature, it was later removed from context and the final slide depicting the "Heaven Stairway" Incident was shared around Reddit, confusing those who had not seen the original trollface meme.
