To rack up a large tab, typically for some type of expensive entertainment, without intention of covering the tab oneself and no clear plan on how the tab will be covered until the event itself is underway - at which point other attendees are solicited for tab coverage until it is taken care of.

Dérivé: "hackou namatata" pour ironiser le fait qu'on n'a pas vraiment été hacké et qu'on assume nos dire tout en se riant de la personne ciblée.

Not to be confused with social engineering, social hacking is to insert your own made-up words into everyday use in an attempt to get other people to use your vocabulary. You can measure accomplishments by finding strangers you have never met that use your word.

"I was social hacking a few words at my job today, when a co-worker came up and used a word I social hacked last week."
