Goddamn hippy

An individual who proceeds to sit on their lazy, liberal arses smoking marijuana and philosophising on Marxist-Engelian ideas and the power of the working-class whilst doing jack-shit work themselves. The phrase originates from the film 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.'

An example of one of a 'Goddamn hippy' would be the scanky, long-haired, greasy, German-military jacket wearing (despite being pascifists)students you find anywhere in the UK.

If you ever stop to find yourself surrounded by the smell of patchouli, and incense burning, while you gaze out upon a sea of ultra liberal free spirited dreadlock, bumper sticker loving, vegetarian, sew-your-own-clothes, kombucha drinking peace activists, all driving $200 painted volkswagens sporting $5000 mountain bikes, you can safely assume that you have found yourself in hippyville a.k.a Boulder, Colorado.

clipboard hippy

A volunteer person, usually between the ages of 18 - 25 that stands around sidewalks of any inner city business district with a clipboard, and annoys passerby by begging to speak with them. These people do not often understand the meaning of no and will actually step into your path to gain your attention.

"I was just stopped by a clipboard hippy! She wouldn't leave me alone!"
