Edgelord

Commonly describes a person on the internet who seemingly goes out of their way to be as polarizing as possible without adding any substance or reason. For example, people who frequently share "offensive" memes and intentionally use racial slurs outside of their own race (read: white people). Usually, this behavior can be explained as a psychological need for attention in a place where they can remain anonymous and not be personally held accountable for their activities. Such activities can be more innocent in nature, but most edgelords rely on shock value and pretentiousness to satisfy an unbalanced ego or past neglect. Attempts to "go against the grain" or appear "non-conformist" are universal criteria. As such, feelings of cringe may be experienced.

Edgelords can also be found outside of the internet, albeit with much more public scrutiny.

Englonius

Or Englor.

It is a version of english where you take, normally the first part of the word, and you add random suffixes.

If you get used to it, you can say a sentence where only you and your friends will understand.

Spearoy the englonius el "f"-jack.
(speakin englor is fun)

Whalor 6 o'clogru, el grundigginest sluzbucket in downtowru.
(whale behind us, shes the wrankest slurry ive seen all night)

p.s. you dont say it as it is spelt, say the word properly up untill the suffix comes along.
eg. in o'clogru, the clo sounds like clo would from clock or cloth, not clo from clog.

englog

A mixture of Tagalog and English language, as sometimes spoken by Pinoys. Used appropriately in the office, with friends, formal occasions and even in Schools in the Philippines. Englog may contain more English, whereas Taglish contains more Tagalog words.

Example of speaking in Englog:

"Hey Dude, Can we make Punta-Punta sa Mall?"
"Yes lang!"

unintentional edgelord

people in online comment sections or forums giving extreme, hyperbolic, and/or controversial opinions for attention and validation. However, unlike normal edgelords, these commenters actually believe these opinions (albeit their belief is usually based on feeling rather than research) and are not just given for shock value. They even usually believe they're smarter than others and are unaware that they are seeking validation.

A common form it takes is the commenter pointing at a normal human behavior, a flaw in human perception, or a societal trait. Followed by them call it stupid (without researching why it exists) in a way that generalizes humanity but puts themselves on a pedestal for being above people that do that behavior or follow that norm.

person 1: I can't believe people fall for (illusion our brain isn't designed to see through), we are such a stupid species.
person 2: how does that make us stupid, we've never needed to use this in the wild.
person 1: but I figured it out, humans are the dumbest.
person 2: After it was explained to you. Look, can you even support that or are you just an unintentional edgelord?
person 1: *Leaves conversation in frustration*
