Referring to someone as an Elaine means that they switch up on you for no reason. You never know what to expect from them.

Eg:

Man 1: "Oh dude! Did you see Kelsey today? She's so hot! You're so lucky you know her personally. She probably doesn't even know I exist."

Man 2: "Yeah, but she's an Elaine. One day she buttons up my shirt, holds my hand, and acts all seductive and the next day she's all cold and frustrated. She switches up like that bro, it's so annoying."
