Handegg Charity Shield

A one-off match between the champions of the two parallel divisions in the American sport of handegg. In similar vein to the FA Charity Shield during the early 20th century, where it was played between the north and south champions. Clad full of ad breaks during the match, which do put Europeans and other civilised people off from watching the event.

The Handegg Charity Shield is kicking off in half an hour, it's either watch that or Whitechapel.

I/O shield blood sacrifice

A term used when building a computer, specifically when Installing the I/O shield, and cutting yourself, as they are notorious for being sharp.

Ex. of the "I/O shield blood sacrifice"

Man: I was about to throw the whole tower against the wall! I felt like such an idiot. The IO shield is evil and requires a blood sacrifice!

Friend: It really is. I did a case transplant on Friday and it took blood even just for being moved from one case to another.

Winning a game in Pokemon Go's GBL (Go Battle League) with the opponent having 2 shields remaining. You must also have used at least one of your shields.

Pokémon GO Addict: I love playing in the 1800 ELO range! Sometimes my opponents don't know what they're doing and end up reverse 2 shield flexing! It's happened 5 times today!

The Riot Shield Noob. A player in Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 that uses the Riot Shield to get a quick laugh in multiplayer. Usually equipped with the Tactical Insertion and Commando Perk to get quick kills. Most likely camps in small areas where snipers like to hide. Luckily, easily killed by your daily Noob Tube or someone smart enough to go behind them.

a name used in the new york police department to describe a Police officer who has not attained the rank of detective, sgt, or higher .Usually called this due to the white color of their shields(aka Badges) having not earned a gold shield(dt, sgt, lt)
