PINO is a neologism meaning one who is a "patriot in name only." These individuals frequently display the American flag on their vehicles or at their homes, they strongly support 2A rights, and they agitate vociferously for getting their way in politics, despite their efforts sometimes being at odds with the US Constitution and other laws. Tellingly, most PINOs have not served in the armed forces to actually defend this country.
Johnny flies the American flag on his truck, carries a weapon, and vehemently opposes any politics that are not on the Right, saying that Leftist or even Centrist views are dangerous. He ignores the fact that some of the actions he advocates are actually illegal. He is a PINO, a patriot in name only.

The domestic terrorists who attacked the US Capitol on 1/6 were waving flags and acting all patriotic, when really they are just PINOS...Patriots in Name Only.
