super-keen nadster

Oxbridge slang for someone who is 'superkeen'; that is, keener than keen. Associated with a strong go-getting attitude, but one that is obvious and public, to the point of being awkwardly endearing or backfiring.

Unclear where 'nadster' originates from. Likely related to nads, as in someone who's "got balls", or the Polish 'nad', meaning 'above' - say, 'above keen'.

"Let's try and be first into the club!"
"Nah, nobody's in there. We'll end up floating around like abandoned toilet paper. Don't want to be super-keen nadsters."

"I looked at the slogan I'd painted up on the banner: 'Come on lads, be a nads(ter)!!'. What was I thinking? The pun didn't even make sense. I looked like such a super-keen nadster."

Nadsader is a form of Heavy Metal that originated in the Midwest area of the United States. Most bands from the nadsader genre are characteristically incredible and superior to competition. The nadsader genre is best represented in the Death Metal band NAYSAYER, of Morrison, IL.

1. A false language created for use in the novel by Anthony Burgess, "A Clockwork Orange." The Nadsat language is a bastardization of Slavic combined with "school boy" rhyming slang and English terms.

Someone who insists on referring to Tea Party activists as "teabaggers" because of the word's pre-existing sexual connotation. Derives from some TP sympathizers' response of inviting such persons to suck their 'nads.

You're never going to convince that guy to stop calling you a teabagger because he's a habitual nadsucker hoping to score.

Nadsat

The language was created by Anthony Burgess for his book A Clockwork Orange. The language is a mixture of Russian and English slang, many people attempt to translate every word as they go along but the way to get the most enjoyment is to simply read the word as is and the further you get into the book the more you will understand.

I viddied a malchick walking down the street and this made me tolchock him in the yarbles, but the rozzes showed up and I was sent off to the roz shop and then the barry place.
