infinite dimensions

A now-popular phrase in string theory and cosmology first coined by John Archibald Wheeler in the 1950's. Revived by Nicholas Meyler in the early 1980's (re-invented while a student at Princeton University enrolled in a Metaphysics of Time-Travel class), the term applies to both dimensions of infinite size (as opposed to particle physicists' idea of smaller higher dimensions as in Kaluza-Klein theory, standard string theory, etc.) and to an infinite number of dimensions. The innovation, if any, is that previously, 'infinite dimensions' had only been accepted in the realm of mathematics (Linear Algebra, Markovian Statistics, n-Dimensional Geometry, etc.), whereas Meyler proposed the obviousness of the infinite dimensional model being a reality, and suggested that they need not be 'small'.

While current theory is that there are 11 or 12 dimensions (string theory), Meyler advocates the infinite dimensional model based on the principle called "Ockham's Razor".

Stephen Hawking writes about infinite dimensions in an article in the collection "300 Years of Gravitation" (edited by Hawking and Israel, copyright 1987). John Wheeler's theory of infinite dimensions from the 1950's seemed to be about quantum-sized dimensions, and not large ones.

Diversity

Diversity is okay in small amounts. Cultures should keep to their place of origin, and not be forced onto other people when an immigrant comes to town.

If I want to put up easter decorations, I will, and none of this politically correct "celebrate diversity" bullshit is gonna stop me.

diversity

(Cultural) Originally, diversity of ideas and viewpoints were recognized as important to many different endeavors such as learning and decision-making - the idea being that the over time the best ideas and/or viewpoints would win out in fair competition. Unfortunately, once this concept was generally embraced as a good thing, it was subsequently perverted and has become a euphemism for quota preferences given to politically favored minority groups in such areas as hiring, promotion, granting of federal contracts and admission into educational systems.

Genuine diversity would imply that someone from Greenland or New Zealand would be a welcome addition to increase the diversity of a university culture. Instead, administrators believe their university somehow becomes more diverse by adding one more black from down the road, increasing black % enrollment from 7.23% to 7.24%. Odd how administrators never seem to notice that blacks don't really contribute to diversity anyway since blacks usually restrict their company to that of other blacks in the student union, classroom, fraternity, university clubs, etc.

Dimensionally Challenged Penis

A penis that is either one of the following sizes/shapes: (1) very long and skinny.A.K.A the noodle dick (2) Very short and fat. A.K.A the soup can dick.

I couldn't decide if he has a good penis. It was sufficient in one dimension but lacking in another. I guess he has a dimensionally challenged penis.
