Cyber Punk

Pertains to both a literary genre and more recently to an attitude or lifestyle.

The media genre generally is placed in the future and develops more on the fact that the future may not end, but may not be pretty either. Generally the storyline centres around some form of technology.

The more recent lifestyle that has evolved and coined this term is fragmented and hard to classify. It is still very new and there is debate on what the term means. Generally observation shows that "cyberpunks" are not only extremely technologically proficient, but are innately adept at it. They have a desire to know all forms of technology they come into contact with. Their attitude tends to be somewhat apathetic towards anything that doesn't directly involve them and their style of dress and personal tastes tend to be eccentrically futuristic.

Cyberpunked

When a gamer has been duped into purchasing or preordering a videogame based on a series of misleading marketing practices, advertisements, and press events aimed to build hype for a product. Ultimately with the end result of the game developers overpromising and underselling on an unfinished or incomplete videogame or videogame related product.

The term is derived from the slang punked which refers to a joke or trick played on someone, as well as a parody of the title for the 2020 videogame known as Cyberpunk 2077 which became notorious by its fanbase for pushing out an unfinished game onto the market.
You know that the game isn't going to be able to deliver on all its promise, if you're not more skeptical you'll end up being cyberpunked.

The act by malware programs posing as (often horny) females of luring horny men with IM convos promising access to webcam peepshows, in order to ultimately obtain credit card information, like a computerized vaginal Venus flytrap.
Sam: Why did this hot girl just start randomly IMing me about how she can let me see her webcam for free?
Katye: That's not actually a girl, it's just some malware cybercunting, to get your credit card info.
