Thoreau moment

A moment where an individual sees through the blasphemy of a given or spoken rule in a situation, and in a fashion resembling the philosophy of Henry David Thoreau, speaks against the rules or laws set on the situation often in the name of justice.

A potential form of anarchy for a just cause. The basic use of a Thoreau moment allows the individual to stand up for their rights when they deserve it most. Despite the parallel structure in diction, this is not to be confused with a nigga moment.

Security guard(across the hall): HEY! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED IN THE HALLWAYS!
Person(getting something from his locker): But...I have a pass! And I need something from my locker!
Security guard: IF YOU DON'T GO BACK TO CLASS NOW, I'M SENDING YOU TO THE OFFICE!
Person: But...I'm not a delinquent! And I didn't do anything wrong!
Security guard: I'M SENDING YOU TO THE OFFICE! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE HALLWAYS RIGHT NOW!
Person: Fine then, I'll talk to the principal about this, because this isn't right! An unjust law is no law at all!

Thorsfejden

The evening usually begins the way any traditional Danish event with guests does: 'Thorsfejden' or 'The brawl of Thor'. The father of the household will challenge you for entering his domain, manifesting in a 'symbolic' fist fight in front of the fireplace. Try to get a few punches in without trying to flee: If he gets your head into the fireplace and brands you in the coals with the mark of the coward, you are not welcome to be with his family for this most sacred of evenings.

Thorsfejden this year was dissapointing, the father knocked her out with a single punch.
