The simple art of removing a thong (footwear) and proceeding to use it as a melee weapon. Can even be used in vehicular combat.

A typical example of Thonging:

Josh: "Look at that weird-looking fella' walking down the sidewalk with a shovel."
Tim: "Quick, lean out the window and thong him good."
