It is a term that is often used critically describe a hearing person who inserts themselves into Deaf spaces, uses ASL, adopts Deaf cultural identity, and oversteps boundaries despite not being Deaf.

I do not want to go out on Deaf Night Out at Starbucks, it's overrun with Deafwannabes.

The lack of hearing emphasis on a word because it is only text. Capital letters do not mean anything besides shouting!

Girl 1: That rainbow is HUGE.

Guy: Thats what she said.

Girl 2: Didn't you hear the sarcasm in her statement?

Guy: No I'm text deaf.

pone deaf

Pone deaf (medical definition): The final stage of a debilitating ear infection thought to be caused by excessive hair gel use and inappropriate humor. Symptoms include the purchase of superfelous designer clothing, uncontrolled fast food b...inging and terret like use of the words "dude" and "awesome"

The disease strikes young men in their 20's and characteristically goes unnoticed by these men. The infection is slow progressing but all known cases eventually lead to total Pone deafness.

Used in a sentence: The Annual telethon to raise awareness of the pone deaf could not cure lil' Jean Pierre of his inability to realize the joke was in fact on him.

Stream Deaf

When you are taking a piss while simultaneously attempting to carry on a conversation with someone outside the general vicinity of the bathroom and the noise of your urinary stream making contact with the toilet water muffles the noise of the out-of-bathroom correspondent's dialogue.

Man taking piss's friend - "Hey Mike, get out here. This football game is turning into a real barn burner."

Man taking piss - "I'm stream deaf bro! I cant hear you!"
