snow day effect

The extreme joy of knowing you can go back to bed because school/work has been cancelled, but you can't because you're so excited to have the day off.

I was dead tired today and needed a nap, but I couldn't because I had to work. But then my shift got cancelled--I have the night off, and now I can't sleep. Snow day effect strikes again!

v. When one chugs their alcoholic beverage in celebration, due to the fact that school is cancelled the following day because it's a MOTHER FUCKING SNOW DAY!

n. A smoke-show who would not be at the bar on a normal weekday, but due to the fact that there's a snow day will be in attendance.

I just got the Cougar Alert that there's a snow day tomorrow, time to snow day slam this beer.

Upon receiving the Cougar Alert that class was canceled tomorrow, i immediately ran to the fridge and snow day slammed a coldie.

Snow Banking

In New England back in the day... Snow Banking was the art of a bunch of buddies in a junk car riding around the roads during or right after a huge snow storm and bouncing off snow bank after snow bank...not really caring about anything because you can't hit anything!
