Term refering to an "out-of-style" or a simply bad hairdo. Popularized in east coast cities in the late 80's and usually refering to trendy haircuts amoungst black urban youth such as the High-Top Fade; the Stair Step; the Philly Fade; etc.
1. "That High-Top Fade is one played out phillie that only bamas would wear."
2. Customer: "Can I get some 'Z' stripes cut on the side of my head?"
Barber: "Son, that phillie is played out."
Could be used in reply when somebody says something sexy or if you approve of something
Person 1: I'm doing my homework on my desk this time instead of on my my bed as usual
Person 2: Damn! I wish I was your your homework!
Person 1: Hahaha Well played ;)
