A neologism built analogously to Anglophile, Francophile, and bibliophile, an Americanaphile is a person who admires the American culture including its language, music, movies, books, art, technological innovations, fashion, sports, food, space program, cutting edge medicine, Ivy League universities, natural wonders, tourist attractions such as Disneyland, and the lifestyle; an Americana enthusiast or aficionado.
Although Halloween is no longer celebrated in some neighborhoods due to fears of candy tampering, some Americanaphile teachers in foreign countries still enthusiastically promote and teach about the holiday in their classrooms.
I met a lot of friendly Americanaphiles during my study year abroad. They love the Simpsons, Friends, Seinfeld, That 70's Show, House (the medical show), ER by Michael Crichton, The Muppets and Sesame Street, Snoopy, Calvin and Hobbs, Disney films, Startreck, Star Wars, Terminator film series, Will Smith, and Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Madonna, Elvis, Sinatra, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, The Doors, Van Halen, Guns’N'Roses, The Eagles, Michael Jordan, Lance Armstrong, Rocky Balboa, Muhammad Ali, Indy 500, The Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains, beautiful beaches, Starbucks, McDonald's, etc.

Sophomore: Probably the most unproblematic grade and the grade that is most in unison. other than all the girls in the grade smoking in the last bathroom stall together, they're okay.
Juniors: ART FREAKS. Think their style is the most amazing thing to grace this earth and most of them dream of going to UAL (University of Arts in London) Their grade is also very in unison. THEY LOVE THE SENIORS and like the Sophomores but HATE the freshman, They're so judgmental and rude to them.
Seniors: Love each other so much. Everyone is friends with everyone. Super sweet. All very mature and very developed. THEY LOVE THE JUNIORS.

The main cause of this rebellion was, first and foremost, slavery. The Union (another name for the U.S) was slowly becoming more and more abolitionist in the 1800's, and as a result the Southern elite felt the need to disregard any basic human decency they had left and fight for the enslavement of millions of African Americans. This was the main reason the Southern states seceded. Things like "States rights" and tariffs are secondary reasons and were very minimal compared to slavery.
In late 1860, numerous states in the deep south announced their secession from the Union after the election of Abraham Lincoln. Despite being an abolitionist, Lincoln pledged not to interfere with slavery in the South. The southern elite, however, ignored this and militias fired on numerous federal forts and properties throughout 1861, one such being Fort Sumter in North Carolina, which marked the beginning of the American Civil War.
The war would go on for 4 years, ending in 1865 with General Lee's surrender to General Grant.
