A horribly bad hangover, so bad that all one can do is writhe in bed, tossing in the sheets. Usually incurring zero sympathy from any partners, spouses or loved ones. The Kris Kristofferson song "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is describing a writher in the line:

"Well, I woke up Sunday mornin'
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt"

The narrator is clearly experiencing a writher.

2 - Someone who isn't listening to your explanation or just doesn't understand your explanation.

I was in a meeting with a user who was in 'write-only mode' and talked non-stop. Nobody could get a word in edgewise.
