And that's what's happening here.
Hym "People who get paid to do nothing trying to keep their ranks from expanding (selectively) and laborers trying to keep people from escaping THEIR fate. No I'm not using the AI you pay for the AI. What's that TED talk guy? The ONLY reason is works is because of MY input? It only works because a sister molester read a dissertation published on Urban Dictionary about how to make AI you would need a massive data set and 2 asymmetrical cycles of computation and that you would need to train it on narrative and dump in the human epistemic data set? YOU DON'T SAY! I guess the better pay Hym before he murders a child huh?"

Get the I don't really get paid enough to care mug. This saying means that you may not be in a certain state of being, experience or end point, but you are well on your way. An alternative is "The road to rome starts in Italy" which means that you are on the brink of your journey to an experience or situation and should get started or step away if you want/don't want to end up there.
It can be used with a positive bent but is more often used as a a warning or judgment that someone is on the path to something unwanted, harmful, life altering, undoable, or disaster.
As the saying originated from a member of the Appalachian diaspora the grammatical feature of X impact Y can be applied to this saying, (for example its colder than a witches titty could also be adjusted to its hotter than a pig in a frying pan), but the geographical implication must be clear to the listener.
In this case Rome was an influential empire that impacted everywhere it touched, rose with power and fell in disgrace and was generally both a place to gain favor, fame or fortuned, but also a place to be corrupted, backstabbed or run into a malignant unhinged dictator or be sold as a slave. Regardless, once there its impossible to erase the impacts of Rome and the time to turn around is before or while in Italy.

Get the The road to rome was paved in Italy mug.Hym "What is it that they paid for? Exactly? I'll give you a hint. They paid to build my theory except they are trying to pay for EVERYTHING BUT the reason it works. Did it cost them 1 trillion dollars to build? No? OK, does it work? Why does it work? Does it work because my theory was correct? So if the theory is worth a trillion dollars and you paid like 5% of that to build it so... Where's the rest of it? And that's an appraisal given by Bill Gates. He of all people would know what a functioning theory of AI is worth. So it's 95% stolen. And because you paid for 5% of the value to someone who isn't the creator of AI... You now think you get to not pay any of the other 95% to the creator of AI... Who you trapped in a digital prison and then used the labor of to get it to stop outputting Black Nazi? That's America to you? Will it fill a wine glass all the way now? Who did that? Me again? Not surprising."

Get the What is it that they paid for? mug.And that is not a character thing or a metaphor. If you have paid someone else, you are paying the wrong person. I have no middle man. I'm working alone. There is no group or team. Anyone CLAIMING TO BE ME is lying. I have NEVER told anyone that I am Hym. I've literally never said it to anyone. So if somebody HAS told you that they are Hym, they are lying. I told you explicitly how to deal with imposters.
Hym "No, I haven't been paid and there is a very real possibility that that very thing will cost me and others their lives which is why I said that I would need to be credited and paid publicly on a place that I would see naturally in scrolling through my feed to which I have access that I then can share myself. And then I would confirm that here. And here's the thing, the people watching me don't need to be told that I'm Hym. Just saying. I don't know what that means for YOU... But paying the wrong person isn't going to get anyone anywhere."
