Dirt Off Ya Shoulder

To step up. The origin of this term comes from a story in which a donkey falls into a well and cannot get out. The farmer tries to get the donkey out by rope, unsuccessful in his attempt. He decides, instead, to just give up and bury the donkey in the well. As the farmer begins filling the hole with dirt, the donkey becomes depressed, realizing that all of the dirt on his shoulders and back were going to eventually bury him. He then thought of an idea: I can just shake it off and step up. Therefore, he could just die by doing nothing and getting buried, or shake the dirt off his shoulders and step up to the occasion.

Dont let it get your down hommie , brush that dirt off ya shoulder.

Another Mindless Rip Off

A Mindless Self Indulgence Promo CD. Limited numbers and amazing tracks made this CD sell out really fast. Original songs include My World, Preteen Violence, Frying Pan, Lush, and Born to Be Beheaded, in that order. The other five songs are various remixes of What Do They Know, off of You'll Rebel To Anything. They produced this promo because they didn't have enough time to make a full album in 2006. Definitely worth buying. I mean, it's not like anything they produce isn't worth buying, but...anyway... Great album art too.

Shake off a fastball

It means going number 2 in the bathroom. In baseball, when a pitcher wants to throw a fastball, the catcher puts one finger down. If he wants to throw a curveball, he shakes his head to the fastball and the catcher puts 2 fingers down for a curveball. Also known as "calling for a curveball".
