A romantic interest that one has while one is involved in another relationship. A new relationship to jump into at the end of the previous one, and possibly even the reason to break up with an old partner. Can also be used as a verb.

My God, Tess has the hots for Dennis and she's already going out with Marly. Looks like he's her prebound.

Tess just broke up with Marly, and she's going out with Dennis. Looks like she prebounded.

To say probably not means to be indesicive where you're not fully saying "yes" or "no" and you're not too sure about a certain situation unless it's presented to you in the right manner.

Will you date a co-worker? Probably not but I may give it a shot.

A portmanteau of "prequel" and "reboot", a preboot is a film in a series that takes place before its predecessor(s), but also tries to rewrite the history of the series as well.

X-Men: First Class is widely considered one of the best preboots in modern cinematic history. It's an origin-of-the-X-Men story that fixes the flaws found in previous X-Men movies.
