Implies that the owner will, initially, have reservations or guilt for buying such an expensive item; however, the owner soon realizes they will only have to purchase the item once. Owing to its craftsmanship and durability, the item will have a long lifespan.

Bob: "Dude, this iPhone case cost me $200! It's made from Italian leather and handcrafted in Eastern Europe, though..."

Miracle on Ice

The nickname given to the Olympic hockey game between the United States and the Soviet Union played on February 22, 1980. The US was made of of college and amateur players, and the Soviets were a team of veterans that hadn't lost in a long time. Naturally, the Americans were tremendous underdogs, but pulled out the win, 4-3.
