admiral nelson

(1) It'll get you drunk! You'll be fuckin fat bitches in no time! ARRR!!! Perhaps the best rum ever made, it will get you drunk for cheap without the hangover you'd expect from other cheap liqours such as Mr. Boston, or Popov. Though often dismissed as a cheap knock off of captain morgan, it tastes very similar, is half the cost and the admiral has won in several blind taste tests. It is also true he runs a tight ship. ARRR!!!!

(2) A cheap spiced rum, cheaper and better than Captain Morgan.

(3) Admiral Horatio Nelson, commander of the Royal Navy when Britain won the great battle of Trafalgar. Not quite as much of an accomplishment as selling a high quality good tasting rum for half of what the competition sells it for.
(1) "I'm low on money and need to get this freshman girl crunked so I can bone her tonight. Better stop by liqours and pick up some admiral!"

(2) These minors are way too dumb to notice the difference between admiral and captain. Just put the admiral in an old captain bottle and they'll be like "oh i love captain morgan, it tastes so much better than your semen"

(3) "Dude, Captain Morgan was just a lousy butt pirate. Admiral Nelson won the battle of trafalgar."

nerdonym

--noun Grammar (NURD-uh-nim)

1. Any word whose proper pronunciation is unknown because the word has only been read, primarily in books. Such words are often tragically mispronounced, and may lay dormant for years until the correct pronunciation is heard in conversation.

Frequent usage of nerdonyms indicates excessive reading, likely of science-fiction and/or fantasy books.
Common examples:

• My first recorded nerdonym is "gazebo", which I originally thought was "GAYS-bo".

What do you mean it's pronounced "GRAIN-ing"? I thought it was "Matt GRO-en-ing"!

• Person A: "I'm having a 'DIAL-mama'."
Person B: "A what?"
A: "A 'DIAL-mama'."
B: "Do you mean 'dilemma'?"
A: I thought it was...
B: ...it's 'DILL-emma", dude. You just had a nerdonym.

• "He's a great OH-raider. What? I just discovered a nerdonym, didn't I?"

nelson complex

Nelson Complex: A triad of symptoms exhibited by an otherwise relatively healthy patient. MUST be in the setting of an active pandemic. Includes A) normal vital signs B) unexplained anxiety C) an overwhelming desire to go to the hospital, despite specific "shelter-in-place" protocols. First identified in 2020 by a grizzled old paramedic in the far North.
Paramedic: "Ma,am, I understand that you want transport to the ER anyway, but there is no medical necessity present. You would be better off staying home. There is COVID everywhere in the hospital, and you would probably get exposed."
Woman: "But I'm afraid that I might go to sleep, and never wake up! Please, please take me to the ER."
Paramedic: "OK then." and suspects a case of Nelson Complex.
