Menticule

Menticule

An image that appears/disappears in the mind that may or may not be consciously acknowledged as a result of communication with others.

Root: mentis culi was supposedly supposed to mean “mind’s eye”. But most of the words I see from the alleged user (cicero) of this language (latin) only have close similarity or relate phonetically to the anus (culus) or penis(mentula). This is hilarious and fine in my book, because I am apparently a child.
It occurred to me that when someone mentions a word, the menticule stays in my mind for an almost imperceptibly short amount of time.

I just had a vague and involuntary menticule because I heard the word potato.

I wish I could form menticuli but sadly I suffer from total aphantasia.
