Grungette

A girl who listens to punk and grunge. Her style is mixed up from grunge style and punk. Grungettes has a vibe of Riot Grrrls too. The word ''grungette'' is mixed from ''grunge'' and ''punkette''.

Grungettes listens to bands like Pearl jam; Alice In Chains; Soundgarden; Sex Pistols; Distillers; Bikini Kill; Hole; Nirvana and etc.

Grungette's style goes from all black to plain white. Includes camo clothing; combat boots; tartan skirts and pants; leather jackets; plaid shirts; hoodies; big shoulder bags (usually black).

Grungettes have a certain state of mind. They are dreamy; has their own attitude; they are emotional, but often doesn't show their feelings. Grungettes are dynamic (changes their looks a lot and doesn't stay in one certain outfit or color for long). Grungettes often are difficult to understand.

Grunge mouth

When a singer intentionally changes the way he phrases or sings his words, most prevalent in grunge music. (i.e. pronouncing "here" like "hurr") The worst case of grunge mouth has to be Scott Stapp of the band Creed. Sometimes a case of grungemouth can be so bad that it renders the person incoherent. Pearl Jam's "Yellow Ledbetter" is a good example. :D

Worst purveyors of grunge mouth are Creed, Pearl Jam, early Stone Temple Pilots, most recently heard with band Volbeat.

Grunger

Grunge is a name given to people who dont wear what is "treany" this does not however make some one grunge or a grunger, nor is a grunger someone who just listens to nirvana. Grunge is some one who honestly does not care what they wear or what they look like. Grunge is a frame of mind not just what you wear. you cant be a grunger just because you wear ripped jeans, flannels or doc martins or convers shoes. A true grunger does not care how they dress or what they look like and tend to follow bands form seattle that appeared in the late 80's and early 90's. Bands such as Nirvana,AIC,pearl jam, mud honey,screaming trees and many less well knowen bands besides the big 5.

There can be two types of grunge girl. The 1st is the original style of grunge, taking pointers from the kinder whore and riot Grrrl look of the nineties. The 2nd is the more modern, Goth and nu-metal influenced style, which can be more effectively described as greebo.

Original Grunge Girl: L7, Bikini Kill, Babes In Toyland, Mudhoney, Hole, Sound garden, Alice In Chains, Black Flag, Skin Yard, TAD, Sonic Youth.
Greebo Grunge Girl: Slipknot, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails.

Style:
Original Grunge Girl: Ripped, floaty dresses, bright tights, stompy boots or Chucks, dirty jeans, maybe a leather jacket, punk skirts.
Greebo Grunge Girl: Black, black, black, baby. Black+ Baggy= Very happy greebo.

Hobbies:
Original Grunge Girls: Going to underground rock shows, drooling over hot as hell grunge guys, reading political websites, partying to Black Flag, having crushes on other girls, hating/adoring Courtney Love.
Greebo Grunge Girls: Listening to Slipknot, skating, hating but secretly fancying emo boys.
