dueling banjo's

Its a song usually hummed by people when going into a small country town. just like in the movie "Deliverence". The 2nd riff of the song is hummed most of the time not the chord play in the begining. Often reference to a town full of the modern slang for folk people "hillbilly" and "Rednecks".

Joey: Hey Tim what town are we in?
Tim: Some town in Alabama.
Joey sees people sitting on the front porch of a house!
Tim begins to hum Dueling Banjo's.
Tim: "da da da da da da da da da"
Joey: "da da da da da da da da da"
Tim: "da da da da da"
Joey:" da da da da da"

Duffing

The act of living with the bare minimum required to maintain the ultimate bachelor lifestyle.

Those "duffing it", often live in an environment that only a true single man could tolerate. Normal living spaces may be converted for storage of motorcycles, beds may not have ever worn sheets, dishes may be piled up waiting for execution via the trash can.

Oh man Bobby is duffing it, he has a guitar stand where his dining table should go.

1. Talk about dueling bangos, cuddling with your sister??? That's just gross.

2. "Cletus why did we have to park so close to my parents"..."Now Hunny, they're my parents too" ....(This is an example of a dueling banjos situation)

3. Could you have said that any more dueling banjos?? ...(refering to the manner/accent which someone used)
