Diethylstilbestrol, a powerful artificial estrogen formerly used as a treatment for preventing miscarriages. The doctors who originally came up with the idea of using DES as a miscarriage preventative clearly had no conception of how powerful a drug it is, and their recommended doses turned out to be insanely high - hundreds of times higher than would be used in comparable estrogen hormone treatment today. Nonetheless, these same crazily high doses carried on being used right up until DES was pulled off the market around 1980.
Today, the daughters from DES pregnancies suffer from high rates of cancer, and many were never able to have children of their own, the damage to their reproductive systems was so great. The official line is that the sons from DES pregnancies came through their exposure virtually unscathed. No cancer, no infertility, no nothing, apart from a mildly increased rate of "noncancerous epididymal cysts".
However, the story doesn't quite end there. DES and other artificial estrogens have been shown to cause intersexed development in fish, birds, and lab rats, and anecdotal reports certainly suggest similar effects on human beings. In particular, within the transgender community, DES exposure has long been rumoured to be a cause of being transgender, and a 2005 study of DES and gender found that 150 out of 500 DES "sons" identified as women rather than men. It shows the power of the pharmaceutical industry, that they've so far kept that story out of the news!

DES... to prevent abortion, miscarriage and premature labor. Recommended for routine prophylaxis in all pregnancies... (from an actual 1953 advert for the drug)

a term that was created by Carlos Mencia to make fun of dumbasses, but lately many people in high schools especially think its cool to go around saying "de de dee" to anythingy that they find stupid or humorous

Acronym. Discerning Ethical Slut. A person, usually female, engaging in consensual non-monogamy, but is characteristically selective with whom s/he has relations and thus will have fewer partners than the typical slut. Variation of "ethical slut," a term from the 1997 Dossie Easton narrative "The Ethical Slut."
Jane is a DES because she has been engaged in consensual non-monogamous simultaneous relationships with John, Rick and Steve, who all possess characteristics necessary for her to date someone: wealthy, attractive, intelligent.

Exact history not known, but widely used in several circles to describe the act of having a brief (less than 1 hour)sleep early evening to re-charge batteries for evening's entertainment. Not to be confused with a "big sleepy John", which is a more straightforward early night with no intention to get up again.

Duh, in the way of Carlos Mencia's show Mind of Mencia. Whenever something seems retarted, you should say this
"If you are a dee, please don't marry a dee, it's genetics dont you see, your kids will be de de dees." De De Dee!!
