this is often done in a 4X4.

to go four wheel driving

We went for Bush Bashing and got stuck in the mud so i had to winch the car out

paddock basher

A crappy, beat up old car that is only used around a farm. usually not for work purposes, instead is used by the teenagers or kids of the farm to do skids in and totally destroy the car inside out. if you crash you paddock basher, its no big deal

City Slicker: hey bro can we do some skids in the paddock basher?

Farming teen: Sure, wanna use the toyota corolla or the mazda 323?

To pound, hit, or bang on a non working appliance, in hopes of
getting it to work again.

I'm always appliance bashing when things around the house all of a sudden stop working.
Appliance bashing is a good stress reliever.
