Lat

Short for Latino. A friendly term of endearment primarily used between English-speaking Latino men living in the United States. Most common among Millennials, Zoomers, and Generation Alpha.

Alternatively Lat can be spelled and pronounced as "Lad," a term from the British Isles that refers to a boy or young man.

Coined by honorary lat and chupacabra comedian Shane Gillis.

"Ay lat, what's up man?"
"Dude the lats are gettin' wild!"
"Holy shit, did you see all the lads in the back of that truck?"
