Freestyle Friday

An excellent lunch alternative for Fridays. Get a group of friends or co-workers and get everybody to bring in a different sandwich ingredient. Come lunch time, assemble and lay all these ingredients out. At that point, everybody will use the ingredients they want in order to make what they deem to be the perfect sandwich.

Traditionally, the host of Freestyle Friday gets to make his/her sandwich first.

As soon as the lunch bell rings, let's head over to Andy's for Freestyle Friday.

As opposed to the commonly known definition of freestyle i.e to make up music as you go, freestyle in general means something akin to 'winging' it but in a much more general sense. Freestyling a test would be to make the answers up as you go and largely implies a degree of accomplishment. Getting a 0 without studying is not freestyling. Nor is getting a 100 with studying. Getting a 100 without studying is 'freestyle'. Getting a 0 with studying is just plain sad. Nick Wong is the Godfather of Freestyle and is currently training P.Dir to become the next Godfather; lookout for him

freestyle cypher

An updated version of the "soul train." Dancers form a circle or "U" shape on the dance floor and a person dances free-form in the middle for a minute or so. Dancers succeed one another without more than a few seconds' gap in between.

None of the locals wanted to join in the freestyle cypher b/c the dancers were so good.

Freestyle Flossing

Flossing ones teeth anywhere that is outside the bathroom. Similar to dental flossing but outside the norm of where its done which is the bathroom. The term is also used to also imply how unnecessary and disgusting the act can be with plaque, food and blood flying everywhere.

I had company over and my girl walked out of the bedroom freestyle flossing while greeting all my friends.
Whenever we go to the movies mike is freestyle flossing his teeth.
