The Confident Wave

Unlike the casual wave, The Confident Wave is done to a complete stranger and is a 4 part process with coinciding hand gestures and facial expressions that is carried out with such confidence that it assures the stranger that you really do know who they are. If done properly the wave will generally throw off a person's entire day and have them asking the question? "how the hell do I know that person?"

Ben: Hey man, that person you just waved at seems super confused and they keep mumbling to themselves.

John: That's understandable...i just gave them The Confident Wave, they won't recover for a while.

Someone who thinks that they are better than they are at something. The person tends to embarrass them self when they fall short of the expectations people have come to expect from the way they have been acting.

That douche just failed miserably in the race. He was so overly confident that he forgot he actually sucks.
