caserio

Puerto Rican name for a group of residential buildings at low-cost, generally paid by the government. The name is given is either because it is a group of "casas" or homes (therefore "case-rio") or after the word "caza" meaning hunting, because these buildings are famous, especially in the metropolitan area and Ponce, for daily shootings and killings between drug dealers and mobsters. Though most people living in "caserios" are decent people who cannot afford to pay a more expensive home or lease an aparment that may cost about $500 or more per month because do not have a job or do the earn enough, most of them have a minor group of people who own drug dealerships (or "puntos de drogas") and within a caserio itself there may be more than one dealership which is the cause for daily fights and shootings between rival groups. A caserio in Puerto Rico is similar or equivalent to a ghetto in the United States, though ghettos can be significantly more dangerous, since caserios in areas outside San Juan metro area and Ponce do not have that much violence.

a person who can't resist spewing any sort of drivel when a camera is close by, including bloated self-importance, blatant self aggrandizement, and of course an obvious lack of command of syntax or communication skills.

Every Michael Jackson news report, where his "friends", the camera maggots, have to make a statement. Any other untimely celebrity death where a large number of camera maggots come creeping out of the woodwork.

Someone who takes thousands of pictures of themselves to put on myspace. Usually, the pictures are taken from weird angles or are pictures of a mirror which is completely pointless because the camera gets in the way of your face. They usually never even look at the camera and do that same blow-fish pose with a peace sign in every picture.

Go into a very dark room on a bright day. Make a small hole in a window cover and look at the opposite wall. What do you see? Magic! There in full color and movement will be the world outside the window — upside down! This magic is explained by a simple law of the physical world. Light travels in a straight line and when some of the rays reflected from a bright subject pass through a small hole in thin material they do not scatter but cross and reform as an upside down image on a flat surface held parallel to the hole. This law of optics was known in ancient times.
