Spike the punch

It's when at a party or social gathering somebody takes alcohol (usually vodka) and puts it into the punch bowl covertly to get a party started.

The Pink Floyd Sound

Psychedelic rock that is played at a medium to high volume. Usually incorporated with acid. Many of the song are ununderstandable if you have never done drugs before.

So there I was listening to the Pink Floyd Sound while tripping on some hardcore LSD.

beyond the pale

The phrase "beyond the pale" dates back to the 14th century, when the part of Ireland that was under English rule was delineated by a boundary made of such stakes or fences, and known as the English Pale. To travel outside of that boundary, beyond the pale, was to leave behind all the rules and institutions of English society, which the English modestly considered synonymous with civilization itself.
