origanaly and truly meant "lots of love"... but not everybody knew that so it turned to fricken "laughing out loud" and then ppl sed "lots of luaghs" and "luaghing out loud" so yeah suck it...

The word 'lol' is just a simple reply, simply meaning the replier does not want to engage in a conversation with you. He/she also is not really 'laughing out loud'.

Laugh Out Loud or Laughing Out Loud or Lots Of Laughs NOT Lots Of Love.

Quite often used when someone isn't paying attention or can't be bothered to answer properly and just replies with 'lol'

Something ones mother/father/grandmother etc. should never ever say.

"Lol your mum said 'lol' today"
"Yeah lol"

"My dog was brutally murdered with a dessert spoon"
"Lol"
