the "where are they now?" file

said of anyone who was once famous but has since become back issue (faded into obscurity or an unknown status).
Poison, Elizabeth Berkley, and Spuds Mackenzie are just a few examples of members currently in the "where are they now?" file.

That’s where the dollar stops 

Common firehouse phrase used in many ways and possibly for days. Can be used in endings of uncomfortable situations or even in moments with lack of verbal content.
Situational use: Fire Captain watches probationary firefighter prepare meal. When the meal is almost complete the Captain stirs the food in the pan. The probationary firefighter then stated “that’s where the dollar stops.”

Take it where you shake it 

Similar to "get lost" or "take a hike," TIWYSI is a wildly popular expression meaning "you annoy me and I want you to go far away from this place where we are standing."
Attractive middle-aged man to a group of troublemakers congregating in front of his home: "Hey - take it where you shake it!"

To be a really together person. Any person who can struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still know where their towel is is clearly a person to be reckoned with.
